They ride on a sweaty bus to all of the football games, practice before and throughout the school year, and they pump us up. They are the cheerleaders! Cheerleading takes a lot of time and dedication to put together their performances. According to Coach Heather Kuethe, “They practiced a total of two weeks before school went back. We currently practice every Monday to prepare for our games on Fridays.” Each year the cheerleaders work hard to perfect every formation and cheer by the first football game of the season to successfully cheer on the football team and the crowd. “We have very strong upperclassmen this year that have been very helpful to our new incoming freshman,” Coach Kuethe said, “We continue to improve each practice and game.” Their dedication to helping and improving each other and making sure that everyone is doing their best really shows how important teamwork is in this sport. Many people don't know about the hard work that the cheerleaders go through before their season starts, but this should give you an idea about how hard they work from day one to game day, perfecting and mastering the art of cheerleading.
