New grill, check. Fresh paint on the field, check. All was set for another season of STORM football at The Valley. From little kids tossing the pigskin on the sidelines to the endless amount of selfies and Snapchats, anything can happen under the lights and this Friday was no different. As the STORM took the field for Friday's 40-7 win over South Mac, much preparation went into Friday's game to get it ready.
For starters, the maintenance crew works hard to get everything ready for events, and this Friday's game was not a usual task. At the start of the week, we had construction crews cutting up the parking lot to run new water and gas lines out to our new greenhouse. That meant that on top of getting the field ready and everything else, the crew was out there cleaning up debris and making sure that everything was looking nice for the evening. Even Mr. Meadows was out there most of Friday morning pushing a broom and getting on a ladder to help get everything ready for the evening.
Everyone's hard work paid off from getting the concession stand ready, to rehearsing for band to preparing for the night's big game. All was set for a STORM victory and we couldn't have had a better night for it.
Stay tuned for more articles from students on future pages and sections as The Bolt staff gets ready to post updates and stories from the evening.
